CAC Cards Required for SeaDoc Soon!
August 17, 2009
On or before September 1st, 2009, SeaDoc will become PKI enabled. This means in order for you to even reach the login screen, you will need a DoD CAC card, a card reader, and ActivClient software installed.
Here are some guides I have put together earlier this year regarding the installation and usage of the DoD CAC cards:
CAC_Reader_Install_Instructions.pdf
CAC_Reader_Usage.pdf
This will restrict users to using Internet Explorer for the most part. With the newer versions of ActivClient(previously ActivCard), there is support for Mozilla Firefox, however there is a different procedure for loading the DoD certificates than just running the InstallRoot package from the InfoSec website. I will eventually have a guide for Firefox CAC setup.
