CAC Cards Now Required for SeaDoc Access - Click for Info

August 24, 2009

As of August 24, 2009, SeaDoc is now DoD PKI enabled. This means in order for you to even reach the login screen, you will need a DoD CAC card, a card reader, and ActivClient software installed. You will also need to use Internet Explorer for now to access SeaDoc.

Seadoc is DoD PKI Secured through ORC ECA

IF YOU HAVE BEEN SETUP TO USE CAC FOR SOME TIME NOW, BUT ARE GETTING AN ERROR THAT YOUR CERTIFICATE HAS BEEN REVOKED, GO GRAB THE LATEST "InstallRoot" from Infosec OR FROM US RIGHT HERE(run the file) as described in the last part of my install instructions that follow:

Here are some guides I have put together earlier this year regarding the installation and usage of the DoD CAC cards:

Again, this will restrict users to using Internet Explorer. With the newer versions of ActivClient(previously ActivCard), there is support for Mozilla Firefox, however there is a different procedure for loading the DoD certificates than just running the InstallRoot package from the InfoSec website. I will eventually have a guide for Firefox CAC setup.
